Marketing Account Manager

We’re a strategy-led marketing and design agency. Our AI production team handles the research, drafts, and analysis — what it doesn’t handle is the client. That’s where you come in.

Own the client relationship. Direct the work. Skip the middleman.

Do clients trust you the moment they meet you?

Can you sit in a strategy conversation about SEO, paid media, content or analytics and ask a sharp question without a script?

Are you energized by directing an AI production team instead of hand-building every deliverable yourself?

Do you know when to handle something yourself and when a decision needs to go up a level — and are you comfortable making that call?

Looking for real ownership, not a coordination role with a bigger title?

Do you want to help define what account ownership looks like inside an AI-native production model, instead of following a playbook someone already wrote?

Work to live, don’t live to work

Leadership isn’t a title here. Every team member takes initiative, solves problems, and owns outcomes. We don’t shift responsibility. We carry it through.

The position

You’ve probably scrolled through a hundred job postings by now — and let’s be honest, most of them sound exactly the same (and promise way more than anyone could realistically deliver).

That’s not our style.

We’re a growing, strategy-led marketing and design agency looking for a Marketing Account Manager to take real ownership of client relationships — not to relay them.

Why work with us? I’m glad you asked.

  • You’ll direct an AI production team instead of hand-building every deliverable from scratch
  • You’ll help build this role, not just fill it — the workflow is still evolving
  • We’re a close-knit, easygoing team
  • We trust and value the judgment of the people we hire — no fixed playbook required
  • You’ll get to work with great clients doing great things

So what are we looking for?

Well, we’re looking for someone clients trust immediately — someone who can sit in a strategy conversation, follow enough of what’s being discussed to ask a sharp question or catch a problem, and move work forward without waiting for permission. You don’t need to be the most senior marketer in the room. You do need real, working knowledge of at least a couple of core marketing disciplines.

You won’t be hand-building SEO audits or ad campaigns from scratch — our AI agents do that production work. Your job is to direct it: know what to delegate, know what needs a human eye, catch it when the output isn’t good enough, and keep the workflow getting better instead of running on autopilot. If you haven’t worked this way before, that’s fine. The mindset matters more than prior tool experience.

This isn’t a coordinator role. You’re the person clients call, and the person who decides what happens next — not the person who forwards the question and reports back.

You’ll own the day-to-day relationship with your accounts and work closely with our Marketing Department Lead on higher-level strategy, escalations, and account direction. Routine account and marketing decisions are yours to make. Bigger ones — scope changes, pricing, anything relationship-at-risk — go up a level.

OK, now for the boring stuff:

About you:

  • You have a track record of owning client or account relationships independently — not supporting someone who did
  • You’re comfortable making decisions without a fixed playbook, inside a workflow that’s still being built
  • You know when to handle something yourself and when a decision needs to go up a level — and you’re comfortable making that call
  • You have real, working marketing literacy across two or more disciplines — SEO, paid media, content, analytics
  • You communicate clearly, written and verbal, without needing someone else to polish it first
  • Roughly 3–6 years of relevant experience or equivalent demonstrated ownership — the emphasis is on demonstrated, not years worked
  • Experience working alongside AI tools or AI-assisted workflows is a plus, not a requirement — what matters is how fast you learn
  • You have an instinct for spotting inefficient processes and fixing them
  • You’re comfortable operating with incomplete information and still making a reasonable next move
  • You’re enjoyable to work with — i.e. not crabby 😉

Responsibilities:

  • Run client communication — calls, check-ins, Slack, email — independently
  • Decide how to respond to a reactive client request, and respond
  • Review what our AI production team produces, catch what’s weak or off-target, and get it fixed before a client sees it
  • Explain a deliverable in a way that actually lands, not just send the file
  • Direct AI-produced SEO, paid media, content, and analytics work — know what to delegate and what needs a human eye
  • Sit in strategy conversations, ask sharp questions, and move work forward without waiting for permission
  • Know when a decision needs to go up a level to the Marketing Department Lead — and be comfortable making that call

Perks:

  • Flexible hours and fully remote work, promoting a strong work/life balance.
  • 10 days of paid vacation, plus the standard U.S. holidays and a full office closure between Christmas and New Year’s.
  • Retirement matching plan and healthcare stipend.
  • A family-like atmosphere that values personal growth.
  • Opportunities to grow within a dynamic and expanding team.

Opportunities:

  • Help define what client ownership looks like inside an AI-directed production model, from the ground up
  • Join a growing, strategy-led agency building out its account management team
  • Competitive salary
